Virgie Mayo Cash, 74, of Route 2, Afton, died on Monday (November 2,1992) at her residence. She was born June 22,1918, at Afton, a daughter of William Joseph Mayo and Mary Elizabeth Lowe Mayo.
She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Earl G. Cash, on January 30, 1992; three brothers, one sister.
Surviving are two sons, Allen G. Cash and David E. Cash, both of Afton; two brothers, Russel James Mayo of Kerney, Nab., and Paul Raymond Mayo of Windsor; and four sisters, Bertha Fitzgerald, Rena Ruth Pannell, Margaret Marie Cash, and Mae Minnie Truslow, all of Afton.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2p.m. Thursday at Hebron Baptist Church cemetery by the Rev. John Chaffee. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8p.m. today at the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Rockfish Valley Rescue Squad and Fire Department.
