Mabel B. Mayfield Toothman, 89, died Thursday, March 21, 2002 at Mon General Hospital. She was born April 12, 1912, in Dellslow, daughter of the late George and Melissa Cress Mayfield. She was Baptist by faith and a homemaker for many years. She is survived by five sons, Dewayne "Skip" Toothman Sr., of Morgantown, Joe Toothman, of Morgantown, James Toothman, of Lilborn, Ga., Jack Toothman, of Highland, Calif., and Paul Toothman, of Maryland; one daughter, Corrine Theil, of Georgia; one siste r, Louise Spitznogle, of Mount Morris; 40 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Toothman; one son, George "Bud" Toothman; three daughters, Cora Parkinson, Melissa Toothman, and Phyllis Toothman; two brothers, Clarence Cress and Omer Mayfield; and two sister, Opal Cross and Mintie Nic holson. Friends may call at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Sunday, March 24, 2002, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Services will be Monday, March 25, 2002, at Fred L. Jenkins Chapel of Prayer at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Barrackville Baptist Church Cemetery.
