Miss Mayer moved to the Bethany Home on January 6, 1978. She died at the home on October 7, 1986. Survivors are two brothers: Victor and Walter Mayer, both of Alexandria; two nephews: Eugene Mayer and wife Alfie of Colorado Springs, Colorado and James Mayer and wife Charlene of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one niece: Delores Kilby of West Bend, Wisconsin and four great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: Arthur and Hilding Mayer.
Funeral services were held October 11, 1986 from the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim McVicar officiating. Pallbearers were Clarence Diedrich, Walter Lorenz, Ortis Holmes, Aldrich Ostlund, Andrew Bisek and Albin Anderson. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Services directed by Petermeier's Alexandria Funeral Home.
