VERNA BURGESS
Lewistown -- Verna E. Burgess , 84, of Prairieview Care Center, formerly of 222 E. Lincoln, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998, at Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton.
Born Dec. 5, 1914, in rural Lewistown to Don V. and Jessie Hughes May , she married Jesse Leroy Burgess on Dec. 27, 1932, in Monmouth. He survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, Thomas May of Lewistown and Frank May of Albuquerque, N.M.; and one sister, Mrs. Gilbert (Nina) Stutes of Lewistown.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Henry Memorial Home. The Rev. John Pereboom will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Lewistown Rescue Squad.
