Diane was born in Waxahachie, Texas, to Geneta Williams Mauldin and Raymond Mauldin. She married James R. Fitch on November 10, 1967, in Waxahachie, Texas. Diane was a graduate of Waxahachie High School and The University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to her graduation from UTA, she started working for Lone Star Gas as a stenographer and rose to the position of Director of Crude Oil Sales Marketing for Enserch Corp. Her work in the oil and gas industry was the most rewarding time of her life. Following her retirement due to disability, she dove head first into volunteering for several nonprofit organizations with the same enthusiasm as she did with all of her endeavors. Included in this was the making of over 10,000 handmade cards for distribution to nursing homes in the Houston area.
Survivors include her husband, James; daughter, Meredith; mother, Geneta; other relatives and many friends. Q15
