Lorene Mauldin Bryant (1910 - 2011)
Lorene Mauldin Bryant, 101, homemaker, longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church and Sylvania Garden Club, passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, in Arlington after a brief illness. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations welcome at B.R.I.T., Faith United Methodist Church, or your favorite scholarship fund.
Lorene Mauldin Bryant was born Sept. 3, 1910, in Ellis County, near Italy. She married Charles Audrey Bryant in 1935, a Fort Worth policeman who died in 1988. Lorene was well known for her blackberry cobbler, pear preserves, and prune cake. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild.
Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Ann Salser of Arlington; sons, Kenneth Wayne Bryant and wife, Sue, and Weldon Ray Bryant, both of Aledo; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members.
