Roma Ewoldt

ELDRIDGE, Iowa - Services for Roma C. Ewoldt, 85, will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Eldridge. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Ewoldt died Tuesday at Crest Health Center, Davenport.

Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements.

Roma Matzen married Frank D. Ewoldt in 1931 in Davenport. He died March 6.

She was bookkeeper for her husband's carpentry business. She also was secretary for Eldridge Independent School District Board for several years.

She had attended Stone School in LeClaire Township and was a graduate of the former Brown's Business College, Davenport.

Mrs. Ewoldt was a member of the church and Eldridge Pythian Sisters and one of the original members of Daisy Belles' Card Club in Eldridge.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Survivors include daughters, Anne (Mrs. Harrell) Paschall, Roswell, N.M.; Elda Ewoldt, Eldridge; and Sandra (Mrs. Dale) Hamann, Sriracha, Thailand; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert Matzen, in October 1992.
