E. Nadine Brattin, age 70, of Boise, passed peacefully at home with her family at her side on Nov. 17, 2007, after a valiant fight with her illness. Nadine Brattin, was born on Oct. 26, 1937, in Nampa, Idaho, to Noah LeRoy and Gertrude B. Matson. She attended Melba Grade School and Melba High School. On Dec. 15, 1956, she married Bert Thomas Brattin, and on May 31, 1961 they were sealed to each other in the Salt Lake City Temple. She was a homemaker until 1973 when she began working as a phlebotomist for St. Luke's Hospital, where she stayed until her retirement in 1994. Nadine enjoyed her many family trips to the Oregon Coast, along with bowling, crocheting, people watching, reading church books, spending time with her loved ones and not to forget the special place in her heart for her dog Gracie. Nadine has lived all of her life in Idaho, but had a dream of moving to Vermont someday. Nadine had such a strong, sweet spirit and touched so many lives. You will be missed by many. We love you and will never forget you. Nadine is survived by her husband; Bert Thomas Brattin; her children, Ramona Allred, Pamela Baga, Michael Brattin, Brenda Elijah, and Jessica Feaster; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; her brothers, Gilbert "Matt" Matson, Roy Matson; along with many nieces, nephews and many other loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father Noah LeRoy Matson; her mother Gertrude J. Bullinger Matson; and her sister Irene Perrins. Funeral Services will be held today, Tuesday Nov. 20, 2007 at 12 p.m. at the L.D.S Church, Meridian 10th ward (located at 11918 W. Ustick Rd.), with a viewing for family one hour prior to the service in the Relief Society Room. Burial will follow the service at Dry Creek Cemetery. Arrangements by Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel.
