Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter lost her courageous battle with cancer on May 21, 2012. Born Dec. 21, 1959 to Karolina and Joseph Matson. Graduated Highland High 1978. She loved fishing, camping, bowling, darts, and spending time with family and friends. She worked at Village Inn for 37 years.
Survived by husband Tony Alves, son Trevor Perkes (Lindsay), daughter Chelsa Novosel, four grandchildren, two step-children Jennifer and Courtney, five step- grandchildren, father Joseph C. Matson (Marion), brothers Clinton Matson and John Matson (Kim), sisters Mary Hewes (Jerry), Debra Goodrich (Jim), Linda Somerville (Dennis), Velma Zilm (Kurt) and many loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Karol's life will be held on Sat. May 26, 2012 at Christ United Methodist Church 2375 East 3300 South at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Karol's name to Huntsman Cancer Research at www.huntsmancancer.org/giving to support breast cancer research.
Now in her mother's loving arms.
