Janet was born in Cortland. She retired as a dietician with the Ithaca City School District. She later worked for Kmart.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Surviving are her husband, former Ithaca Mayor Edward J. Conley; two daughters, Joanne of Dryden, and Julie Holcomb of Ithaca; a son, Jeffrey of Ithaca; her father, Kenneth Mather of Scipio; a brother, William Mather of North Syracuse; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Church, at North Geneva and Seneca streets. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Bangs Funeral Home, 209 W. Green St.
