Edwinna Armstrong, 63, of Shelbyville, formerly of Tower Hill, died 3:43 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2001) in St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 10 in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Shelbyville.
Mrs. Armstrong was born July 3, 1937 in Shelby County, the daughter of Edward and Orpha Glick Matheny. She married Leo F. "Mule" Armstrong Sept. 3, 1960 in Decatur. He survives.
Also surviving are mother, Orpha Matheny of Shelbyville; son, Rob "Bert" Armstrong and wife Correana of Lakewood; daughter Maria Young of Sparta, TN; two grandchildren, Kena Young of Sparta, TN and Kyle Armstrong of Lakewood.
She was preceded in death by children Ruth Ann Gregg and Randy Armstrong and her Father.
She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge and was an avid bowler. She worked as a waitress in the Cowden Covered Bridge Cafe and the B & M II, Shelbyville.
