Bettye S. Albers was born on August 10, 1925 in Osceola, Arkansas to Gilbert and Florence (Sangster) Mastin. She passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 86 years, 6 months, 27 days.
Bettye married John W. Albers at the First Baptist Church in Osceola, Arkansas on August 12, 1945 and to this union they raised 5 children Shirley, Anna Jean, Denise, John D. and Jeff. Bettye worked as a Galley Tech at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln and also was a farmwife. Bettye was the church secretary and on the music committee for First Lutheran (North Branch) Church. She also played the organ and piano for more than 30 years at North Branch. Bettye enjoyed animals especially cats. She also loved to sew and garden and was an Avid Husker Fan.
She is survived by her Children: Shirley & Milton Stubbendick of Syracuse, NE, Anna Jean Madec of Phoenix, AZ, Denise & Joe Bolen of Boston, MA, John D & Tammy Albers of Eagle, NE, Jeff & Josie Albers of Denver, CO, Grandchildren: Dana & Amber Stubbendick, Sara & Brian Paone, Amy & Tim Tindle, Kris & Deena Bolen, Mike Bolen, Kelly Bolen, Danielle Albers, Brandon Albers, Justin Albers, Jeremy Albers, Great Grandchildren: Emerson Stubbendick, Addison Paone, Enzo Paone.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband John and Sister Shirley Richards.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in Rural Avoca, Nebraska with Rev. Jackie Tjarks officiating.
Burial will be in the First Lutheran (North Branch) Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with family greeting friends from 3 until 5 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
Memorial may be directed to the First Lutheran (North Branch) Church.
