She was born on the family farm west of Burlingame, the daughter of Weaver and Blanche Croucher Masters.

She graduated from Burlingame High School in 1939, and lived in Burlingame most of her life.

Married Jesse George "Jay" Denny, June 1, 1941, at Little Rock Arkansas.

She worked in a defense plant in Wichita, Kansas during WWII. She and her husband owned and operated Denny Retail, and she also worked as a clerk in the Patterson Grocery, both in Burlingame. She was a member of the Burlingame Federated Church, and the Harveyville Rebecca Lodge 717, where she served as an officer for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Sara Marie, and son-in-law Robert Savaiano, November 1, 1970, a son, Jay E. "Buster" Denny, July 29, 1980, and a sister, Claudine Mary Creviston, July 26, 1996.

She had five granddaughters and 15 great grandchildren.

She was interned Friday, May 14, 2010, at the Burlingame Cemetery.
