Arthur Lee Masten, 65, Greencastle, died Tuesday morning at his residence. He was the son of Piercy and Hollis (McClug) Masten. A 1953 Greencastle High School graduate, he earned his bachelor's degree in music from DePauw University in 1957, and his master's degree in music from Indiana State. He taught music in several schools, completing his career in the Fillmore/South Putnam schools. He was a member of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church and sung in the choir for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn Ann Clodfelter and husband, Frank, Taswell; Kenneth Lee Masten and David Allen Masten; both of Greencastle; two sisters and a grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
