She was member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lake City, Mi. She spent her working years farming with her husband and family. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and blessed her family and the community with her many creations.
She also enjoyed reading poetry, word puzzles and had a song for any moment. She especially enjoyed a good conversation and most of all taking part in family gatherings.
She made hats for H.O.O.P and afghans for veterans in V.A, homes. She was member of the Lake City Senior Center and American Legion Post 300 Auxiliary.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, step-dad Murl Royer: sisters Helen Rossman and Inez Knoch; and brother Clifford Masten.
