Jean M. Dunaway, 84, of Springfield, formerly of North Port, Florida passed away on Monday, December 31, 2007 in the Mercy Medical Center.

She was born on August 6, 1923 in Greenfield, Ohio the daughter of Franklin Wilson and Margaret (Brookover) Massey.

While in Florida she was a Past Matron of the Eastern Star, #248 Venice; Past President of North Port Women's Club; Past President of the Ladies of the Elks, North Port; Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Sar-I-court 79, Sarasota, Florida.

She moved to Springfield in 2001 and was a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail E. Scott of Texas, sister, Grace Henry of Dayton, several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and cousins: Mary Catherine Zeller, Helen Massie, Bill and Julie Zeller, and many other Springfield cousins.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 from 5-7 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with services to follow at 7:00 pm that evening. Burial will be in the Gulf Pines Memorial Park, Evergreen, Florida on Saturday at 10:00 am.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607
