CLARKSVILLE — Mary Evelyn Massengill, 88, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Clarksville.
She and several family members traveled all over Arkansas during the late 1930s to county fairs, reunions and town squares making photographs. A collection of more than 700 of the photographs, along with a diary and log book, are currently on exhibit at the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies in Little Rock.
Survivors include two sons, Warren Massengill of Little Rock and Norman Massengill of Russellville; a daughter, Sondra McKelvey of Clarksville; a brother, Eugene Ritter of Concord; a sister, Floy Brent of Belton, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lance W. Massengill; and a daughter, Gail Young.
Arrangements are by Cremation Association of Arkansas in Little Rock.
