Charles Monty Masengill was the son of Harbert Masengill and Nova Jean Dixon. He was born on October 1, 1949 in Summersville, MO and passed away on July 9, 2014 at his home in Jackson, MO at 64 years old.
Monty was united in marriage to Terry Lee Shockley on October 8, 1974. They had three daughters, Tammy, Montica, and Charlie.
Monty served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1970 and was deployed in the Vietnam War. After serving his country, he spent his working years as a long-haul truck driver.
Monty is preceded in death by his father Herbert Masengill, his mother Nova Jean Dixon Terrill, granddaughter Christal Taylor, his brother Curtis Terrill, and his step-father Robert Terrill.
He is survived by his wife, Terry, of Jackson, MO; daughter Tammy (David) Taylor and their children, Charles, Donald, and Kimberly, of Wallace, KS; daughter Montica Babers and her sons, Derrick, Nick, and Phillip, of Jackson, MO; daughter Charlie Masengill and her daughter, Remi, of Jackson, MO; step-mother Nealma Masengill of Mountain Grove, MO; sisters Kay Terrill White and Karen Helton (Kevin) of Summersville, MO, Connie (Pat) Stuart of Willow Spring, MO; and brother Jerry (Michelle) Masengill of Springfield, MO. He also leaves numerous, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 3 to 6 PM at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with Family memories at 6 PM.
