Monday October 10, 1988: Services were held for Anna C. Mass Brawner at the Frist Lutheran Church, 10:00 O'Clock, with the Rev. John Meyer, Fairfield, Iowa. Graveside rites were at 11a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul[s Lutheran Cemetery in Palo Alto County, Iowa.

Grandma Brawner sold the farm, after Grandpa Brawner died on February 2, 1968

Grandma Brawner bought a house in Fairield and lived there until her death in 1988.

ANNA C. BRAWNER - 1908 - 1988
Anna C. Brawner, 80, 401 E. Adams, died Friday, October 7, 1988 at the Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield, Iowa.

She was born September 11, 1908, in Hoskins, Nebraska, the daughter of Chris and Katherine Wagerman Maas. She married Charles F. Brawner on December 21, 1927, in Nebraska. He died January 14, 1968 in Clearwater, Minnesota.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Brawner is survived by her stepmother, Annie Reubig, Las Vegas, Nevada, and three daughters: Norma Larsen of Ruthven, Nila Bisgard of Fairfield, Iowa, and Gloria Keefer of Iowa City. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four brothers: Louis, Ringstead; Elmer, Pierce, Nebraska; Edwin, Elm Creek, Nebraska; and Raymond, Norfolk, Nebraska; and four sisters: Frieda Thomsen, Laurel, Nebraska; Laura Kling, Leroy, Minnesota; Nora Lambricht, Norfolk and Mary Ann Heckman, Norfolk, Nebraska.

Four brothers, one sister and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

The funeral services for Mrs. Brawner will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Friends may call beginning at noon Sunday and family visitation will be from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Behner Funeral Home

Graveside rites will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery, Graettinger, Iowa. Memorials may be left to the American Diabetes Association or the First Lutheran Church.
