Iva Mae Allen

Iva Mae Allen, 80, of Edina, died early Sunday morning, October 20, 1985, in the Scotland County Nursing Home in Memphis.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 22, 1985, at 2 p.m. at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Edina, with the Rev. Ronald Garner officiating. Music was provided by Karen Stone and Ed Anderson. Entombment was in the Linville Mausoleum at Edina.

Eastern Star services were held Monday evening at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel.

The daughter of Phillip Sheridan and Ora Kimball Mason, she was born September 30, 1905, in Knox County, Missouri. On September 1. 1923, at Monticello, she married Emmet F. Allen.

She is survived by her husband of Edina, two brothers, Ray S. Mason of Edina and Holland H. Mason of the state of California; two grandchildren, Mrs. Theresa Glasgow of Kirksville and Steven Allen of Promise City, Ia.; four great-grandchildren, Amy Glasgow, Alesia, Gregory and Gerard Allen; daughter-in-law, Martina Allen and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard on November 27, 1982; three brothers, Clarence Gordon, Charles Olin and Albert Bostick and one sister, Mary Ellen Fleak.

Mrs. Allen was a life-long resident of Knox County. She and her husband have lived in Edina all their married life where they had been in farm implement and automobile dealerships until their retirement in the early 1950's.

She was a past matron of the Matilda Chapter No. 411, Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the Edina Assembly of God Church.

Pallbearers were Marshall Scofield, Clifford Hagerla, Harold Stone, John Mason, Robert Mason, James K. Allen and Delbert Hawkins.
