Mary Josephine Bader, 99, of Barron died there Nov. 14 at Barron Riverside Manor. Funeral services were Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Barron, with the Rev. Gerard Willger officiating and burial at Wayside Cemetery in Barron.

Mrs. Bader was born Aug. 16, 1904 to Peter and Katherine (Kassel) Marx in the Town of Arland. The family later moved to Rice Lake. She married Alfred Bader in 1923 in Rice Lake, and they farmed in the Poskin area until retiring. Mrs. Bader liked sewing, making quilts, embroidering and crocheting.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence of Rockford, Ill., and Paul of Clayton; two daughters, Lorraine Schmitz of Cameron and Phyllis Floan of New Berlin; 16 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.Mrs. Bader’s husband, Alfred, died in 1961.
