1938 Utah Death Certificate


Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Koosharem ward chapel for Mrs. Emma Josephine Anderson, 60 wife of Andrew Anderson who died Saturday of heart trouble, following a two years illness.

Mrs. Anderson was born at Ephraim November 1, 1877 a daughter of Peter and Toline Mortensen. When she was six months of age the family moved to Koosharem where she had since resided. Her parents died when she was eleven years of age. In May, 1897, she married Andrew Anderson in the Manti temple to this union were born seven children, four of whom survive. During the years her husband served as bishop of the Koosharem ward. Mrs. Anderson assisted him with his duties she was also helpful in music in the ward having a pleasing contralto voice.

Surviving are her husband; three sons and one daughter, Larell and LeGrand Anderson of Twin Falls, Idaho, Robert D. and Vione Anderson of Koosharem; four grandchildren; one sister,

Mrs. E. C. Bagley and one brother George Mortenson of Vernal.
