Justina was survived by her three sons: Phillip (wife Vickie) of Rio Rancho, Tomas (wife Janet) of Santa Fe, and Mike (wife Laurel) of Raton; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Edmundo Martinez (wife Katie); her very good friend Berlinda Romero; and caregiver Gloria Kennedy.
Justina graduated from Loretto Academy and worked for the state of New Mexico for 30 years. After her retirement, she did volunteer work. She was a Eucharistic minister for Our Lady of Guadalupe in Taos for 17 years. She and her husband also served off and on as mayordomos at the church. They delivered meals-on-wheels to the elderly. Justina belonged to the State Retirees Association and the Taosenas Club. She was a very friendly person, always willing to help others. She was talented and artistic. She took painting lessons and made many lovely paintings.
A Rosary was on 23 Jan 2013 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was on 24 Jan 2013 also at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
