Josephine Martin Bailey was born June 23, 1883, in Boone, Iowa, to Charles and Sarah Martin. She came to Buffalo County in 1906 and resided here until she passed from this earthly life on April 12, 1956.
On February 24, 1915, she was united in holy wedlock to A. C. Bailey. To this union was born two daughters. One died in infancy.
She is survived by her husband, A. C. Bailey of Riverdale, and one daughter, Mrs. Doris Crowell of Odessa; one sister, Mrs. A. F. Howery of Roseville, California; four brothers, Charles, Clarence and Clayton
Martin, all of Pleasanton, and Harry Martin of Davis, California, three grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., from the Morgan Funeral Home at Pleasanton, with the Rev. John O. Boldt, pastor of the Havens Chapel Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
