Margaret C. Martin, a resident of Houston, passed away peacefully at St. Dominic Village Nursing Home on May 27, 2011, after a long and rewarding life. Margaret was born on November 21, 1912 and raised in Lockport, New York and resided in Houston, Texas since 1960 working as an EEG and EKG technician for 19 years at Rosewood Hospital.
She was one of two children born to the late Edward and Carrie Collier and was the beloved wife of Edward Cornell Martin for over 30 years. Margaret will be forever remembered by her children John and Paul, daughter-in-law Cassandra Martin, treasured grandchildren, Christy, Carrie Margaret Alexis and her husband, Ian Prikryl begin_of_the_skype_highlighting and_of_the_skype_highlighting and great grandchild, Cate Prikryl. Margaret always displayed good humor and stoic resolve in handling all of life's turns. She was deeply proud of her children and the lives of her grandchildren and welcomed everyone with grace. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany June 2, 2011 at 1:00PM. The family requests all donations be sent to the wonderful people who gave her such loving care at St. Dominic Village Nursing Home, 2410 Holcomb Blvd., Houston, Texas 77021, or to American Hospice, 11200 Richmond Avenue, Suite 110, Houston, Texas 77082.
