Mrs. Dollie Bartels, 81, of Whitney, Tex., died Friday morning at the Union County Hospital in Anna. Mrs. Bartels had lived in Anna since May of this year. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Verlee Eaker will officiate. Burial will be Monday in the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery in Houston, Tex.


Friends May Call at the Crain Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Saturday. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the First Baptist Church in Anna.


Mrs. Bartels was born October 2, 1889 in Texas, daughter of James and Irene Waller Martin. She was married to W. G. Bartels on June 15, 1915 [1914].


She is survived by a son, the Rev. Waller M. Bartels of Anna; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Cato of Whitney, Tex., and Mrs. Violet Bell of Weatherford, Tex.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Her husband preceded her in death.
