Delpha Martin Has Stroke and Passes Away at Culp
Mrs Delpha Martin of Culp died at her home Tuesday evening at 7:00 o'clock following a stroke. Mrs Martin had been in apparently good health, so her death came as a shock to her many friends and family.
She was 50 years 11 months of age and had lived near Culp all her life.
Survivors include her husband Joel Martin of the home six children: Mrs Vada Lester of Optimus, Ark., Mrs Alma Staggs of Kansas City, Mo., Sgt. Francis Martin of Nellingen, Germany, and Joe Dean and Larnal of the home; four sisters, Mrs Nellie Woods of Advance, Ark., Mrs Eva Lamb of Cashmere, Wash., Mrs Nadine Whooten (sp) of Haiti, Mo., and Mrs Fern Henderson of Buford, Ark.; four brothers, T. Branscum of Winters, Calif., Eudel of Pechastin (unclear), Wash., Kyle of Albany, Ind., and Guy of Buford, Ark.
Mrs Martin had lived a devout Christian all her life and was ever ready to lend a helping hand to those around her. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services are incomplete pending the arrival of her son from Germany.
