Dortha Mae Cook, 93, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015, with her family at her side. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015, in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, with a short visitation prior to the service.
Dortha was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Bryan and Laura Martin. She married Jesse M. Cook and they made Waco their home, where they raised five children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse M. Cook; son, Jesse B. Cook; and a brother, Blake Martin.
Survivors included her daughters: Thelma Burrell, Jeanette Martin, and Gennie Hoffman; son, Ronald Cook; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brother, Edgar Gene Martin; other relatives and many friends.
