Born to Joseph Martin (1844-1927) and Philomene (nee Isabelle, 1845-1925) on 01/08/1881 in South Ford River Township, Delta Co., MI. She married Charles Hellyard Black aka "Charles R. Black" (1880-1939) on 04/26/1905 in Escanaba, Delta Co., MI. They had 2 sons, Donald Hugh (1906-1961) and Robert James (1908-1989) before moving, first, to Clinton, Iowa around 1910-11, Evansville, Indiana by 1913 then to Regina and Moosejaw, Sask. Province, Canada by 1919. Finally, by 1922 they relocated to Oregon where Charles worked as a piano salesman and tuner until his death in 1939. Victoria moved in with son, Robert, by the time he settled permanently in Studio City, CA. In California is where she did housekeeping for hire. She died of heart disease at Toluca Lake Convalescent Hospital in North Hollywood, CA in 1966. Her body was cremated at Grandview Crematory in Glendale, CA and ashes were interred under its West Mausoleum at the Chapel at Grandview Crematory.
