Proudly served in the US Navy in WW II. Oldest retired Omaha Fighter at time of death, retiring as a Fire Captain, serving 6-8-1942/12-27-1975; member of Belgian American Society; and an avid golfer.

Preceded in death by loving wife Alma; sisters, Mary Bruckner, Odelia Martin, and Madeline Peers.

Survived by son Michael Eckersley; sister Elizabeth Moriarty; many loving relatives and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICE Tuesday 9:30am at Korisko Larkin Staskiewicz Chapel to St. Mary's Catholic Church for 10am MASS. VISITATION Monday 5-8pm, with 7pm Prayer Service at the Funeral Home. Interment, St. John Cemetery, with Military Honors by American Legion Post #331. Memorials to St. Mary's Church.
