Robert Austin (Bob) Coburn died peacefully on Jan. 5, 2014 in Webster, TX.
He was born July 23, 1943 in Stamford, TX to Robert Austin Coburn and Pauline Frierson Coburn of Haskell, TX.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Linda Joyce Coburn, 3 sons - Michael Coburn (Christina), Gregory Coburn, and Philip Coburn, all of League City. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Connor and Reagan Coburn; his sister, Sandra Coburn Russell (Al), nephew, Matt Russell, niece, Sunni Surette (Pat) and children Sam and Grace, and many loving cousins, family, and friends.
He graduated from Haskell (TX) High School in 1962. He attended Texas A&M, Midwestern University, and graduated from Texas Wesleyan College in 1978 with a degree in accounting.
He was employed at McDonnell/Douglas, Technicolor Government Services, and Lockheed/Martin, NASA contractors, for many years. He was also employed at Walmart.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday January 25, 2014, at Texas Avenue Baptist Church, 320 Texas Avenue, League City, Texas. A reception will follow.
