Mary Tryphosa "Phosa" Marshall was born in GA, possibly in Monroe County. She and her four siblingls (Martha, Lenora E. Delphia Ann, and Alexander A. Marshall) were living in 1860 with a Delphia Matthews next door to the Women's College in Forsyth. These children were living at the Isaac Green household in Macon County in 1870. Their parents are not yet identified.
Phosa married Oliver Cromwell Cheves about 1870 or before. They had two children that preceeded them:
1) Marshall D. Cheves, b. about 1875.
2) Isaac Cromwell Cheves, b. 1878.
