Betty I. (Jones) Marshall, 83, died Thursday in Marion General Hospital.

Mrs. Marshall was born on Jan. 8, 1924 in Michaelsville, Ind. to the late Murza and Goldie F. (Miller) Jones.

Mrs. Marshall lived most of her life in Marion. She worked for Paranite from 1950-1960. She married Charles O. Marshall on June 30, 1952. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2001. She enjoyed country music, word search puzzles, yard work and spending time with her family.

Survivors include five children, Rhonda J. (Lee) Fannin, Marion, Keith Marshall, Marion, Richard A. (Nelda) George, Upland, Connie J. (Jim) Mossburg, Warren, Karen S. (John) LaFlower ,Ocala, Fla.; two sisters, Pauline Lee, Swayzee, Charlotte (Merrill) Childers, Marion; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sister, Marjorie Hall.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, Marion. Burial was made in Grant Memorial Park.
