Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at eleven o'clock. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Stuhr's Greenridge Road Chapel Monday, August 27, 2007 from six until eight o'clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southerncare Hospice of N. Charleston, 2070 Northbrook Blvd., N. Charleston, SC 29406.
Born August 12, 1927 in Gloucester, Massachusetts, Mr. Marshall was the son of Henry Lurvey Marshall, Sr. and Edith Lillian Sylva Marshall.
He was a former member of Pinopolis United Methodist Church and retired from the US Navy after serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Marshall was a vendor at Coastal Carolina Flea Market, Poppy's Place and was a former Deputy Coroner of Charleston County. He was also a member at large of the VFW and the American Legion and was past president of the West Ashley Optimist Club.
Surviving Mr. Marshall are two daughters: Marcia M. Murray and husband Harold of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Carla M. Anderson and husband Andy of Pinopolis, South Carolina; a son: Robert L. Marshall and wife Margaret of Lusby, Maryland; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
