David attended and was active in Manassas Baptist Church and was a member of the Manassas Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. David was the Chief Auto Mechanic for the City of Manassas Park. He was a born mechanic and truly enjoyed his trade. He was well known for his many acts of kindness and helping others. One of his greatest joys was being Santa Claus during the holiday season greeting senior citizens and children.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Hoover of Hamilton, Pennsylvania and L.V. & Elizabeth Marshall, of Marion Center, Pennsylvania.
David is survived by his mother, Ellie Marshall of Manassas, his father, Larry B. Marshall, of Dixonville, Pennsylvania and one sister, Pamela A. Arriola of Manassas.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Thursday, May 13, 2004 at Manassas Baptist Church, 8800 Sudley Road, Manassas with Dr. William T. Higgins and Pastor James Vaught officiating. Services will also be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, May 14, 2004 at Hamilton United Methodist Church, Hamilton, Pennsylvania with interment to follow in the White Church-Hamilton Cemetery.
