Patty Marsh Biddle, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, Wilmore, KY,
where she was a resident for the past 10 years.
She was born January 22, 1923 in Paris, KY,
daughter of the late Harry Ament and Bessie Allison Marsh.
She was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy Waves.
She was a retired employee of the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot (AVON), having worked there for over 30 years.
Following retirement, she devoted her time to being a dedicated genealogist and historian of the people and places of Paris, Bourbon County.
She helped countless people from all over the United States who were seeking information about long-lost relatives and others inquiring about the past history of Paris and Bourbon County.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
Paul Vernon Biddle and her oldest son, Paul Allison Biddle.
In addition, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Benedick Ament Marsh and Philip Ament Marsh;
two sisters, Elizabeth Marsh and Mary Marsh Prather.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel Dillon (Pam) Biddle of Paris and William Boone Biddle of Phoenix, AZ;
four grandsons, Clinton Daniel (Leslie) Biddle of Somerset, KY, Charles Jordan (Mandy) Biddle of Downer's Grove, IL, Dillon Austin Biddle of Paris and Cody Gage Biddle of Newnan, GA;
one great grandson, Conner Mason Biddle of Paris; and one brother, Harry (Rita) Marsh of Lexington, KY.
In lieu of flowers, etc., contributions may be made to the "Renovation Fund" of First Baptist Church, 916 Main Street, Paris, KY 40361,
where she has been a faithful church member since November, 1940 and a member of the Eberhardt Sunday School Class.
