Batesville, Ark., Feb. 25 - Joe Marlin, 25 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hindman Marlin of Battles, Izard County, was lost when the transport Tuscania was torpedoed by a German submarine on February 5. Mr. Marlin left this country some 15 years ago and enlisted at Checotah, Okla., last summer, near which place his parents now reside.
