Mrs. Perry DeGarmo died at her home north of Stratton on Nov. 3, 1917. She leaves a husband and one son seven years old. One son having proceeded her to the better world a few years ago at Francites, Texas. She was converted to the Christian Faith in 1911 after which h she remained faithful unto the end. Her faith helped her to endure her long illness with out complaint. She waited with perfect patience until God called her to that home where there is no sickness or death.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Underhill at the Missionary church in Eden precinct, where a large company of sorrowing relatives and sympathizing friends attended. Florence Luella Maris was born in Saline county, Nebr., August 13, 1889, and came to Hitchcock County with her parents in 1905; was married to Perry DeGarmo June 3, 1908. She also leaves to mourn her death a father, mother, two sisters, five brothers and many other relatives.
