To The Memory of Francis Marion, Esq. of St. John's Berkeley, Grand Nephew and adopted son of the Revolutionary Patriot and Soldier, Gen. Francis Marion, Who Departed this life on the 24th Day April 1833, Aged 55 years and 8 months. His virtues were those of domestic and private life, and in his death his family have sustained an Irreparable loss, and Society been deprived of a useful and valuable Member. / How painful is the parting hour to hearts entrained in bonds of love, to souls that own sweet friendship's power and all her tender interest prove, Oh fair and bright will be the day, (dear is the hope of mortals given). When hearts that loved so fondly may unite in endless bliss in Heaven. His Bereaved Widow
