PEARL GRACE MARGHEIM - Pearl Grace Margheim, daughter of Alexander and Hannah (Ehrlich) Heinze was born November 18, 1919, at Dorrance, Kansas. Her death occurred on December 27, 1988, in the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 9 days.

Pearl lived her early youth in the Brownell Community, received her basic education there and on June 6, 1937, was united in marriage to Arthur G.MARGHIEM at Great Bend. This union was blessed with seven children; LaVera Joyce, Darlene JoAnn, Gerald Duane, Karen Faye, Leslie Alexander, Scharlene Kay and Cynthia Gale. Much of her early married life was spent in Central and Wetern Kansas, moving to Carthage, Missouri, lin the late 1940's. The family made their home in Missouri for about 11 years. After the death of her husband, Arthur, on September 10, 1959, she moved back to Russell in 1960 to make her home.

Most of her life was occupied with the many and varied activities of a housewife, homemaker and mother. She was a devoted mother and in later years received a great deal of enjoyment from her grandchildren. Pearl was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Russell having
been a member of the Lutheran faith nearly all her life.

Those who preceded her in death were her parents, husband, Arthur Gayhardt Margheim; and one granddaughter, Chrysty Margheim. She is survived by her children: Mrs. Vernie (LaVera Joyce) Erven of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Mrs. James (Darlene JoAn) Gilmore of Derby, Kansas; Gerald Duane Margheim and Mrs. Harold (Scharlene Kay) Hutchings,
both of Russell; and Cynthia Gale Reyelts of Lawrence, Kansas. Other survivors are a brother, Ted Heinze, of Wichita, Kansas, and a sister, Lilly Hester of Russell; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
