"Graveside services, conducted by Marysville Eastern Star, were held here late Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Madge Graff, only daughter of Mrs. Rachel Marcoux and the late Arthur Marcoux. Burial was on the Marcoux lot near her father.
Mrs. Graff, wife of Dewey Graff, was born and spent her early life in this area. She attended English Ridge school and graduated from Havensville high school. Since her marriage she has lived in Nebraska and in cities this way, where Mr. Graff had railroad employment. Her illness has been long and distressing and much sympathy is extended her family in their great sorrow and loss.
During the long months of invalidism Madge exhibited a remarkable strength of courage and spirit. She greeted her family and friends always with amazing fortitude. To meet her one could not deny the beauty, the unquenchable fire of the human spirit.
Mr. Graff and daughter Patricia, a student in Marysville High School, Mrs. Evelyn June Myer, Mr. Myer, Mrs. Rachel Marcoux, Dale Marcoux, instructor at Washburn University, and Roy Marcoux of this viciniy, many relatives and friends mourn the loss of one beloved."
