Melissa K. (Marcom) Cunningham passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer. Melissa was born on March 26, 1966 in Tucson, Arizona to Bert and Louise Marcom. She was raised in Liberty Hill, Texas, and graduated from Liberty Hill High School in 1984. She graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. While involved with Campus Crusade in California she met Scott Cunningham, to whom she was married on July 27, 1991, and with whom she shared the joys of life with for more than 22 years.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoyed delving into family history through genealogy, photography, birding and maintaining an interest in her nieces' activities. She taught Sunday School and was heavily involved in her church work and women's ministry. She was a wonderful witness to others, and showed God's strength through her own strength and abiding faith in Christ.
Melissa was preceded in death by her sister, Kim McCulloch. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband, Scott; her parents, Bert and Louise Marcom; nieces, Kendall, Kelsey and MacKenzie McCulloch and Sophia Merrin Cunningham, brothers-in-law, Neil McCulloch and Greg Cunningham and his wife Barbara Merrin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Janice (Powers) Cunningham, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
