Joanna R. Marcin, of Hughes Street, Swoyersville, formerly of Duryea, died Friday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Duryea, she was a daughter of the late William and Johanna (Yuskevicz) Coolbaugh. She attended Duryea schools. She was an assembly line worker at Owens Illinois, Jenkins Township, before retiring in 1978. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Swoyersville, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery; brothers, Albert, William, Joseph, John and Edward; and sisters, Beatrice Savulis, Lenora Swetlick and Mildred Molesky.
Surviving are her son, Joseph, Swoyersville; daughters, Elaine Sawicki, Wilkes-Barre; and Gloria Jean Cywinski, Swoyersville; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brother, Veto, Bloomsburg; sister, Aldona Morris and Mercedes McHale, both of Duryea; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Joseph L. Wroblewski Funeral Home, 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish. The Rev. Richard Cirba will officiate. Interment will be in the Lithuanian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. The Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3 p.m. Sunday~.
