Norris Marceaux was born in Kaplan, LA on December 4, 1915, to Pierre Numas Marceaux and Elizabeth Badon Marceaux. His father was a rice farmer and his mother was of French Canadian descent. Norris served in WW II in the Merchant Marines and following the war started working at The Texas Company (Texaco) refinery in Port Arthur, TX. He married Virginia Wells in February of 1942 and they had 2 children, Barbara Dale ("Lou") and Norris, Jr. ("Buzz".) Norris liked to hunt and fish, taking his son with him, and in his later years his grandchildren also. He had 3 grandchildren: Daniel Cross, Catherine Cross and Brandon Marceaux. Norris retired from Texaco in 1977. He was a hard worker and good provider. He loved his wife and children and grandchildren and his favorite dog, "Nosey". Norris passed away April 30, 1984 and is greatly missed by his family.
