The daughter of Ivan Mapes and Maude Ferguson Mapes, she was born August 18, 1918 in Middletown, NY.
She was married to Frederick M. Kennedy; he passed February 14, 2001.
She was a member of Scotchtown Presbyterian Church; former Deacon of the Scotchtown Presbyterian Church, member of the Home Bureau.
Survivors include one daughter, Saundra K. Turner of Middletown, NY; two sons, Robert F. Kennedy and his wife Marie of Valrico, Fla and Richard L. Kennedy and his wife, Edith of Fort Plain, NY, nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, one nephew and her family and friends at Park Manor especially the New Horizons Unit.
She was predeceased by her parents, loving husband Frederick M. Kennedy, sister, Lillian Decker and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 in the Scotchtown Presbyterian Church, 227 Blumel Rd., Middletown, NY. Rev. Jean Risley and Rev. Susan Thompson will officiate.
Interment will be in Scotchtown Cemetery, Scotchtown, NY.
There will be no public visitation hours.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelius, Dodd and Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY."
