He was raised by his grandparents, Daniel Chester and Sarah Violet Mann. He married Kathryn Overby on December 26, 1948. He is survived by his children, Larry Daniel Mann and his wife Kathy of Checotah, and Zereta Irene Bailey of Warner; grandchildren, Julie Tuthill and Melissa Bailey, both of Warner, and Danny Mann and Dustin Mann, both of Checotah; great grandchildren, Amber Marrel, Ashley Tuthill, and Gage Tuthill of Warner; great-great grandchild, Myley Marrell of Warner.
