Funeral Services for Rose B. Deffenbaugh, 74, a lifetime resident of Davenport will be 12 noon on Friday, December 14, 2012, at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., Davenport. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 13, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Rose died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Genesis West Medical Center.
Rose B. Mangels was born August 15, 1938 in Davenport, the daughter of George Mangels and Luella Ripley Mangels.
Rose was united in marriage to Earl Linhart; she later married Clifton Leroy Deffenbaugh on May 17, 1986.
She retired in 2003 as a Supervisor in the Housekeeping Department for Genesis East Medical Center.
Rose enjoyed watching sports, dancing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, daughters, Carol (Kirk) VanHoorebeck and Lois (Michael) Frueh, all of Davenport, sons, Dewey (Karen) Linhart, Kenosha, Wi, David (Michele) Linhart, Maquoketa, IA, and Daniel (Jamie) Linhart, Davenport; 16 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; a sister, Loretta Pridmore, Alabama, brothers, Rueben Mangels, Blue Grass and George Mangels, Davenport.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents and a brother John Mangels.
