She was born May 10, 1940 in Eugene, Oregon to Herbert Dale and Lois Frances (Kitchel) Malone. She graduated from Olympia High School.
On December 12, 1975 she married the love of her life, Raymond Dillard in Tumwater. Janice and Ray created many fond memories before Ray became ill in 1987 and passed away.
She worked for the State of Washington for over 33 years first with the Dept. of Licensing then the Fisheries and Arts Commission and finally with the Dept. of Labor and Industries.
She had been a member of the Moose Lodge; she enjoyed crafts, cooking, reading, movies and camping.
Family was everything to Janice; they came before her own needs or wants always.
