Mrs. Flanagan was born September 12, 1919 in Union Springs, AL. She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Annie Mallory. Mrs. Flanagan was employed by the Muscogee County School District for 47 years as a cafeteria manager at Morningside Elementary School and Shaw High School. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the Bible Learners Sunday School Class and Widows Might. Mrs. Flanagan was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Henry Curtis Flanagan and a son, Thomas Curtis Flanagan. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Hugh and Therman Mallory, and sisters, Lucille Kilgore, Jewell Rayburn, and Ruby Hammock.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Winfield and Glynn Flanagan, and a daughter-in-law, Sonja Flanagan; four grandchildren, Tommy Flanagan, Jennifer Lancaster, Shannon Sorrell and her husband, Ben, and Allison King; seven great grandchildren, Michael and Christopher Lancaster, TC Flanagan, Connor and Andrew King, and Mallory and Mary Wallace Sorrell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
