Mass of Christian Burial for Viola will be held on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael. Fr. Charles Leute, O.P. will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. The Wake for Viola will be held at St. Michael's Recreation Center on Thursday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The Procession to St. Michael's Recreation Center will leave at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday from the Wal-Mart Parking Lot.

Viola Mae was born on February 7, 1936 at Fort Totten, ND the daughter of Raymond and Ida (Matohin) Mallard, Sr. She attended school in Fort Totten and also the St. Michael Boarding School.
Viola was united in marriage to Patrick J. Brown on February 18, 1957. They established their home in the St. Michael area living and working there through the years. Viola worked with the Green Thumb Program and also the Head Start Program at St. Michael. Viola had many hobbies and special interests including, sewing, baking, playing cards and fishing. She was famous for her delicious fry bread. She especially loved spending time with her dear family and friends.
Viola is survived by her Son: Robert (Mary Ann) Brown Sr. of Tokio Daughter: Rebecca Brown also Tokio Adopted Son: Louis Chaske Special Companion: Donald "Skip" Spenst of Langdon Twenty Grandchildren Many Great Grandchildren Sister: Cynthia Poorbear, St. Michael Brothers-In-Law: Elmer Brown and Joseph Brown both of Tokio Uncle: Isaac Mallard of St. Michael Many Nieces and Nephews also survive.
